138 East 50th Street

At 138 East 50th Street, known as The Centrale, WTS was brought in during the final stages of construction to support the punchlisting process and deliver flawless finishes throughout the tower. Rising 71 stories and designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli with interiors by Champalimaud, The Centrale offers 124 residences ranging from one- to five-bedrooms, with honed stone, custom white oak millwork, and expansive glass as defining elements. The offering plan values the project at over $535 million total, averaging around $4.3 million per unit.

Our team worked closely with the developer to correct the common damages that occur in the final phases of a project of this scale. WTS performed detailed wood floor touchups to repair scratches and abrasions, restored chips and damages on custom millwork and kitchen cabinets, and executed precise wall and surface touchups throughout residences, corridors, and amenity spaces.

We also addressed a wide range of surface refinements, including metal repair on hardware, fixtures, and accents, as well as careful restoration of stainless steel appliances that had sustained minor installation damage. Equally critical was our comprehensive stone repair and polishing program, which ensured countertops, bathroom surrounds, flooring, and feature walls reflected the level of finish expected in a high-end development. In addition, our technicians refinished window mullions and frames, eliminating scratches and ensuring a consistent finish across every unit.

By meticulously managing these punchlisting and touchup tasks, WTS helped elevate the Centrale’s residences and amenities to the standard envisioned by its architects and designers. Our ability to repair, restore, and perfect surfaces across materials ensured that new owners experienced the seamless quality expected of one of Midtown Manhattan’s most prestigious residential addresses.
